Hot, Humid & Happening: Lake Texoma Fishing Outlook – Aug 13–19, 2025

Heat waves are rolling across Lake Texoma this week, with scorching highs from 94–98 °F and humid conditions that’ll challenge even the most seasoned anglers. But good news—early mornings are still lighting up the lake with action-packed fishing…

Striped bass are on the move in the cool hours, attacking topwaters like pencil poppers, then shifting deeper to chase slabs behind shad schools in 30–60 ft.
Catfish are still biting well on punch bait and cut shad, especially around sunken structure and channels.
Crappie offer fair opportunities near docks and brush—but the shaded, deeper areas will hold them longer.
Bass love reacting to early topwater action and staying close to structure throughout the day.

Just remember to stay cool, stay covered, and stay safe—especially with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms on Sunday and Tuesday. Fish smart: hit the lake early and ride out the heat—this week still has plenty to offer the driven angler.
